I've noticed a few new people joining this group recently, presumably after that last CAE Immersion course.
Is everyone comfortable with what they need to do to study for the May exam? Anyone need a virtual study group? Please post here so others can reply.
If you guys are interested in doing a regular chat about the exam, let us know here too. We use these to talk through practice questions that are sticking points for you, to give study tips, etc.
Also, the virtual cram session days are likely to be April 27 and May 4. Mark your calendars now and for more info, contact me or Celia Besore (communications@csaaul.org).
I agree - I was talking with Cheryl Ronk from Michigan SAE on joining their on-line study course. I'm feeling way behind sched - as I just started studying last week for the May exam! I would like to take the may exam instead of waiting till fall, as work-wise this is better for me. I would also be interested in any virtual chats, etc if anyone else needs support like I do!
How does a virtual study group work? Looks like there are five who might be interested. I'm getting quite nervous since the May exam is only 6 weeks away.
Hi KiKi - I am also working on May exam & am feeling really behind. I did join the Michigan SAE study group - but there is a fee. I am willing to join your virtual study group, depending on what day, time, etc. I think I need all the help I can get.... Joanne Bartley - chicago
OK so the best thing to do is if all of you can come up with a suitable time slot that works, and let us know here, then a couple of us CAE's will set up a chat room and sit in and help answer questions. This won't be for going through Domain by Domain - what we've done in the past is talked about particularly thorny questions (and often the answer keys are wrong so don't get too hung up on that), and almost more importantly, talked about the actual process of taking the exam, mnemonics, study tips, that kind of thing.
So let me know what time slot you guys come up with and we'll go from there!
It appears that Mondays at 7pm eastern time is the preferred choice. That's 6pm central so will be tight for me but since we only have a few weeks remaining before the May exam, I'll make it work. I think I see a little pin hole of light at the end of the tunnel.
OK guys - this is great. Unfortunately Mondays at 7 doesn't work for me personally, but I know Evette Lewis and Elizabeth are willing to help out and I bet I can get a couple more people from the CAE Jedi group to host. I'm in the process of talking to Evette (who managed the last round of virtual chats) about the best way to do it this time so we'll get back to you ASAP. In the meantime, mark the Monday 7 pm slot in your calendars. I can actually do this coming Monday, and even if we have not quite decided about the "chat room" aspect, we can do a conference call. Watch this space!
OK guys, I would like to try using Todays Meet. It's insanely easy - just go to http://www.todaysmeet.com/CAEchat at 7 pm every Monday from now through May 3, input your name and we can chat. There's no need to have an account or anything.
I will be in there by 7 tomorrow (4/5) so come armed with questions!
I am new to the group. Don't suppose there is anyone in the Western NY area? With one month to go, I'd love to get involved in a virtual study group if there is one going on.
Just saw the transcript from last night - very helpful. I'll mark my calendar for next week. Thanks Maddie for facilitating this.
I will not be able to do the chat on Monday evening because I will be in Austin at a conference, and I have not yet found someone for May 3. I heard there were not many people on the chat last week, can I confirm you still need it? Not sure what I will do about Monday though.
