Please read!

Dear all,

So another CAE exam date has been and gone, so YAPstars everywhere are either breathing a sigh of relief  (congratulations!!) or gearing up for the next exam cycle - and we're here to help.

For newly minted CAE's please join the CAE Jedi Masters group.  You will see there are lots of opportunities to help new prospective candidates, as well as projects run by the CAE Action Team at ASAE that you can help with.  Just being in the group at all helps, as if there's ever a sticky practice question that people are having trouble with, we can post it there and see if you can help them figure it out.

For people about to start studying for the next exam, don't hesitate to post here if you are looking to form a study group or have any questions at all about the exam process, exam format, or specific domain topics, or just want to express your stress and have others understand! Laughing

We will of course provide virtual chats here too if there is enough demand.  I know for a fact that these have helped a lot of people, not just those who found it hard to find a face-to-face study group but also as a way to reinforce what you're studying regardless.

In closing, I wanted to point you to something really powerful.  KiKi L'italien did not pass this time, but she posted this really honest, beautiful post on her blog about it and I got her permission to share it with you.  I know it will resonate.  Even more importantly, though, she's turning that experience into a positive and started a new blog, CAE37: From Failure to Fabulous, in which she will document her studying progress.  I hope anyone about to start studying will subscribe to her blog and make that journey with her.  Really, really awesome.  A TRUE YAPstar who can show us all how to to live a life of transparency and authenticity. Thank you KiKi for ALREADY being fabulous!

UPDATE - here's another really great blog post, A CAE Journey, by Deirdre Reid, which gives a beautiful glimpse into what it's like to be waiting for that letter...

Wow - I just read this post, Maddie. Thank you so much!

I've already seen amazing support from so many of my association friends... I can't wait to turn this situation around! :)

Thanks for your kind words about my blog post. I wrote it because I wanted to give a taste of what I experienced during those four months -- it's such a rewarding experience. I really hope that YAPsters will strongly consider studying for the CAE. Find a study group and just go through the motions for May if that's what's most comfortable for you -- do as much reading as you can, listen in on calls and then really go for it in December. I'm hoping that my state SAE (Assn Execs of NC) can get a study group going for those in NC and surrounding states. Let me know if you're interested so I can tell our CEO. Maddie gave of her time to some of us studying for the December 09 exam and set a great example for me to follow. And follow I will!
