YAP in San Diego Was Through the Roof!

Every year I declare it to be the best ASAE annual meeting ever, but this year I really mean it, and YAP was a big part of that. Maddie and Lindy (dubbed YAP queen bees in on photo, I believe) get a lot of the credit, but thanks should go out to everyone. I haven't had that much fun in a long time, and I thought it really breathed some life into the whole conference. Patti Digh, one of the diversity panelists, was chatting on the back channel. Rohit Talwar, plenary speaker, was at the Whiskey Girl with us. YAP superstar Bob Wolfe stood up in the last session that Jeff and Maddie did to declare "Social Media is empowering," pointing out that he went from sitting like the "quiet kid" at the back of the room to hanging out with association thought leaders in one year simply thanks to blogging (okay, and YAP!).

So thanks everyone!

Special Double Secret Super Thanks go to Jennifer Gastelum. She lives in San Diego and took the time to research venues...landing on the PERFECT place--one of SD's top DJs, $3 drinks and close to everything--on the one night when nothing else seemed to be happening.

I really can't give Jenn enough credit. You rocked it, girl! This badge is for you.

Jenn Gastelum is a YAP Superstar

YAP party was AWESOME!  All of you really threw it down, YAP style and I am very grateful to all of those I had the privilage of meeting. I really regret not being able to stay longer, but will have to begin setting up more YAP partys out here. Hopefully I'll make it out to the DC area for the Smithsonian Pow Wow next year, but look forward to participating more on YAP. You all ROCK!
