I would be grateful if you could pass this message on to any smart young professionals you know who might be interested in serving on an Advisory Committee for NEW (New Endeavors by Women - http://www.newendeavorsbywomen.org/), a nonprofit which helps homeless women back into the workforce.
From NEW: "The purpose of the NEW Young Professionals Advisory Committee (YPAC) is to assist the New Endeavors by Women (NEW) Board of Directors in raising funds and visibility for NEW. The committee will consist of up to thirteen (13) young professionals between the ages of 25 to 35. Three of the members will be selected to focus primarily on raising the visibility of the agency through the media. The other ten YPAC members will focus primarily on fundraising and development by hosting social events to raise funds for NEW and exposing other young professionals to our organization. [...] YPAC members will be selected based upon their interest in helping women move out of homelessness, their enthusiasm for supporting NEW's mission and goals, their ideas for raising NEW's profile in the community through fundraising events and communication strategies through various media outlets including social networking, and their potential to attract other professionals to support NEW."
