Position Title: Education Manager
Description:
The Education Manager is responsible for partnering with staff and volunteer leadership in the planning, managing, and evaluation of the educational projects of the association, including conference, institutes, study tours, and other events and projects. This position is charged to develop and enhance the association's just-in-time/online education efforts. This position works with multiple volunteer committees, staff members, vendors and contractors in crafting and executing highly effective education and member services programs. Develops, monitors, and is responsible for timelines, action plans, and results of assigned projects.
Duties:
Project Management (30%): Education & member services special project management. Coordinate volunteers and staff to develop strategies, tactics and direction of projects and action plans. Negotiate contracts (e.g. educational talent, selected service providers and contract services), develop and manage budgets, and project plans for assigned projects. Works jointly with Meetings & Events Manager on event and meeting logistics.
e-Learning Design & Development (30%): Utilize ADDIE, or other appropriate models, to create e-learning products and services. Identify, design, develop, and produce synchronous programs (webcasts). Manage and implement the repurposing of educational content (live presentations and artifacts) into asynchronous channels (online courses, archived webcasts, etc.) Engage and manage subject matter experts in the creation of e-learning courses. Participate in creation and management of online certificate program(s).
Educational Program Management (20%): Facilitate process and provide guidance to volunteers on the management of the educational content of events and products. Support volunteer subject matter experts and educational programming committees. Primary responsibility for program data-system. Provides support to special interest committee, institutes, taskforce's professional development and educational content work. Manage the educational program evaluation process.
Administration (15%): Participate in staff and departmental meetings and conference calls with project teams, manage budgets, data systems management, subject matter expert contract review and payment preparation. Identify, establish and evaluate education procedures as assigned by director. Implement policies established by association executive board and recommend policy reviews/edits as needed.
Other (5%): The other duties as assigned caveat.
SALARY:
$40,000-$45,000 + Exceptional Benefits
Telecommuting options depending on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Recent experience with e-learning development, curriculum design, and training/online education. Exceptional communication and organizational skills, ability to work with diverse groups, skilled at performing multiple tasks, prioritizing workflow, solving problems, staying flexible but adhering to deadlines.
Experience as e-Learning designer and developer to include synchronous and asynchronous courses/products/services. Advanced knowledge of e-learning software and adult learning principles Entrepreneurial spirit with flexibility and adaptability.
Periods of travel, some evening and weekend working hours, and flexible schedule.
Desired:
Undergraduate or graduate degrees in instructional design, instructional technology, distance education, adult education, or equivalent credentials/continuing education. Two years experience in association/nonprofit setting. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro, Articulate, Captivate, and Adobe Master Suite. Experience with Learning Management Systems.
