Virtual Chat - FEEDBACK PLEASE!

As you know, we are "eternally beta" here at yapstar - so I want to know if you guys participated in the virtual chat, what you thought of it, could anything be improved, suggestions for changes next time, etc.!  There were 18 people on the chat at one point last week, and I saw 14 when I dropped in yesterday.

Let me know what you thought of it!!  Thanks!

At one point I tried to participate but had a difficult time with locating the chat... I kept going around in circles...

Uh oh.  Were you on yapstar.org or on the Sharepoint site?

Being new to this group, I'm not really sure which site I was on. I think perhaps the Sharepoint site.

Yes that is what I was thinking was probably the case too. : )  The Sharepoint site is hard to navigate but Lindy and I are working on that for ASAE, we'll see what we can do.

I found the conversation useful...both for the help rationalizing why certain exam answers correct AND the reassuring advice from the CAE folks.  I wonder if a blog format might work better??  It might be easier to scan through the responses --- segment them by type of questions.  And the chat limited the lenghth of questions...so to post entire question and series of answers you had to post several chat messages in sequence.  Not a big deal though.  If we had more questions being posted at once it might have been more confusion, though.

Hey Maddie-

I didn't participate because I decided not to take the CAE yet, but I would sit in on a future chat. Hope it was valuable for those who were on it!

I joined the first chat, couldn't make the second one.  It was very useful.  The version on the YAPstar site was better than on Sharepoint.  But definitely a good way to get some nuances explained.  Agree that maybe a blog *might* work a little better than a chat?????

I participated in both chats.  I found them both helpful but the format was a little confusing, especially when more than one person was asking a question at the same time.  I noticed a lot of people observing the chats, but not necessarily participating and I'm not sure why that was.

In my opinion, it was another source to glean information from in the study process and I used it as such.  Another format such as a blog might work just as well!
