Perhaps I'm just tired (and tired of studying) but I've found studying to The Who, Beach Boys, Los Lobos, Lenny Kravitz and moby is really working for me!
Anyone else have recommendations for good study music?!?
Miles Davis or John Coltrain works well for me. If there are words I usually start singing along but with either of those cds I can focus and when I'm taking a break I've still got excellent music.
I just discovered jango and pandora, two free online music sites. You create your own personal stations, select artist you want to hear. The sites will also play similar genre musicians and songs/musicians that other people who tagged the same artists you did (sort of like the amazon model). Clearly I am easily lured away from studying!
I suggest Mozart. It really does make you smarter. Or Bach - Goldberg variations...the early Glenn Gould version. The later one is too good. Distracting.
